Member Spotlight: KSI VeRiiTaS 7

An interview of KSI VeRiiTaS 7, highlighting his goals, ideals, and reasons for why he tries so hard to be an outstanding leader.

KSI VeRiiTaS 7 is a prominent member and leader in our community. He has created countless relationships throughout the multitude of our divisions, and has inspired many more.

VeRiiTaSA?was recruited into KSI on Nov. 22, 2015. He joined out of an open heart and a desire to help people, as well as he had heard many positive things about this community beforehand.

Just like most leaders we have today,A?VeRiiTaS did not join KSI with the intention of ranking up. Actually, he joined for the same reason many people join, to meet new people and to have fun. Given the relationships that he had created and the amount of genuine fun he had been having, he wanted to facilitate that for more than just himself.

Rita decided that he was going to become an officer because the officers in his squad were extremelyA?terrible and he knew he could do better.

VeRiiTaS has inspiration in the form of a mentor, trainer, and leader. KSI Mpliers 7, current Senior Director,A?is his biggest inspiration to become a great and beloved leader.

“That guy has always had my back and I can’t think of anyone else who has inspired me like he has,” Rita said.

VeRiiTaS first met Pliers in a non-leader way.A?He was in a party with previous leaders and pliers was mean toA?him because he was drunk.

“I thought he hated me,” Rita said.

Then,A?Mpliers became director over FI and realized that none of the 7’s liked each otherA?or worked well together. FI wasA?not in the bestA?state.A?Rita started talking toA?Mpliers as a leader and mentor.

“OnceA?we realized we were working towards a common goal, making FI better, we started to become rather close friends. He has taught me a lot about dealing with stupid people,” he said. “Pliers has a way of dealing with bad situations with a light heart and a sense of humor, making difficult situations easier to manage.”

Through working with Pliers and coming into his own as a leader, Rita believes he knows how to make FI one of KSI’s best divisions.

“I am positive if I crack the whip hard enough, we can kick the stability of FI and boost to 300 members. I would like to achieve this before I am no longer running FI,” he said. “However, just like mostly any other leader, my biggest goal in KSI is to make it to the Board of Directors. Even if I don’t, there are many other things within KSI that I would love to do.”

After going through the strife of being a strong leader for some time now, VeRiiTaS’ advice to the community is simple.

“Always have fun, don’t let the little stuff get to you, and always put real-life first. All the time I see people treat KSI like a job and it isn’t. You have to really have fun with whatever you do here. If you don’t, then whatever you are trying to accomplish will then just become that much harder.”
