The News team and I had a lovely interview with KSI JAK KNIFE 7, who is currently the General of Rebellion CS. After joining the community in March 2015, Jak has been up and down the ranks multiple times. His knowledge and experience show through the success of his squad!
What is the best part of your rank? And why?
I get to help people because that’s the one thing I enjoy doing. That’s what being part of this community is about right? Helping others to create a community for everyone.
What experiences have you had during your time in KSI? Any favorites?
I really don’t have a favorite experience, because I have loved them all. I have been in since 2015 and I have loved every second of it. Of course, there are ups and downs but overall I love this community and those that I have met. This community is my family and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
What advice, if any, would you give to your past self?
Don’t stress the small things! Even going up the ranks, I would worry about little decisions I made. Realizing now they weren’t worth worrying over.
Looking back on what you’ve done so far. Would you do anything differently?
Not at all, because I wouldn’t be the same person I am today. Mistakes make you grow as an individual. I see them as part of my own personal growth, and I wouldn’t change it any other way.
Who is your KSI role model? What have they taught you?
I have never truly had a mentor back in the day it was more of a “learn on your feet.” So I started to watch other leaders around me in Demonic Mayhem and took notes on what and how they did things. I even taught myself how to recruit effectively. Even today I am still learning from those around me, may that be a rank above me or below me.
What is your why?
This community is my family and I treat it as such. That being said my Why is helping and growing that family. I want to be there for the members, being someone they can come to as a friend as well as like a brother.
What motivates you to keep pushing forward within KSI?
The people motivate me, seeing people having fun, hearing people laughing, and hearing people enjoying themselves. That’s what officers are for! We are here for the members, we put in a lot of work so people can have fun!
