A Look Into Warzone Firefight

Warzone Firefight was just released for Halo 5. What can you expect?

Halo has been the traditional favorite shooter for the Xbox since its initial release, and now the franchise brings us new content to Halo 5: Guardians.

Warzone Firefight was just released in full, along with many new multiplayer maps, updates, requisitions and even a new Warzone boss.

Warzone Firefight was released on Wednesday, June 29, alongside with the game itself becoming free to play from June 29 –July 5.

With this update comes new Warzone maps such as Prospect and Attack on Sanctum, and the new Arena map Molten.

However, Prospect will be intended for Warzone assault, while Attack on Sanctum will join the classic Warzone family.

This DLC also comes with the Tidal Forge canvas, Campaign Score Attack, and a handful of new Requisition weapons, armor and vehicles.

Along with the new vehicles comes the Temple variation of the covenant vehicles; Temple Banshee, Temple Ghost and Temple Wraith.

Now the UNSC is even getting their own aerial vehicle for use in Warzone, called the Wasp. The Wasp is a single manned aerial vehicle, somewhat resembling the Hornet from previous Halo games.grunt-goblin-2-3562ff7f37734b1da4307c7dd1564d20

Possibly the most exciting bit of news, was the announcement of the new Warzone boss named the Goblin Jockey.  The Goblin Jockey is a mechanical suite “made by grunts, for grunts”, and is a legendary or mythic rated boss in all of the Warzone variants.

The Goblin Jockey is equipped with a large Needler, and its suite has a built in EMP emitter for any vehicles that just so happen to get to close to this mechanical menace.

Warzone firefight was released for a beta trial in late April exclusively on the map Escape from Arc, but now it will be on any and every Warzone map, to include the new releases.

Also with this update, comes a change to the commonality of boss spawns on the already established Warzone maps. Now, the boss spawns will be unpredictable and won’t necessarily be the boss you are used to spawning in the same location at the same time.

This is arguably the biggest, and most anticipated update for Halo 5: Guardians yet, and completes the DLC releases of this year, or at least from what was announced.

I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I have been for this update, and I am now in shock that it is finally here. I urge you to check it out, it is most definitely worth the play.
