KSI History: KSI MFLSwagg 7

Learn about KSI MFLSWAGG 7 and his impacts with the KSI History Team!

The Beginning

“I joined KSI Global on my 20th birthday, July First 2013, I had no idea what was going on at first, and now I am proud of what I’ve accomplished,” MFLSWAGG tells us.

KSI MFLSWAGG 7 began his long career in Velocity FI. Once SWAGG changed his gamer tag a few days after he joined, it didn’t take long to become interested in being an officer. After a while, he got a feel of everything and knew everyone in the squad, he decided to work on being an officer.

KSI MFLSWAGG 7 had many mentors from this time that he says effected him greatly. He considers this time very foundational and stated that, “the officer ranks gave me the confidence and knowledge that developed me into the leader I am today.”

Life as a New Leader

He eventually got to 3rd Captain in Velocity, when helped and worked hard to ensure Velocity would split into Ignite. After some time, he moved up to 1st Captain. Shortly after, he took an LOA due to joining the military. He retained his rank due to his service in the military. Once he returned, he diligently lead and worked until he was the General of Ignite, this happened in September 2014.

“I was a beast as a General and I had a great time!” He recruited and trained numerous people as General. He even got the chance to be part of two squad splits while he was a General. These squads were Carbon and Hybrid.

“The biggest thing I learned while a General, was leadership as a whole.” MFLSWAGG focused more on being a friend and brother than being a boss.

After his second split, he was promoted to Co-Founder in 2015, again on his birthday.

“I was surprised and I was stoked!’ MFLSWAGG stated as he looked back on the moment.A? “I was promoted to Co-Founder in a leaders meeting, in front of a lot of divisions and Directors. It was crazy, and I won’t forget about it.”

He began moving through the ranks quickly, and he finally became a division leader in 2016

When he was a general, he was dedicated to splitting FI. This motivated him so much to be able to split his squad twice.

Senior Leadership

As a division leader, he built FI to 535 members to be able to split, and finally in summer 2016 FI split into TI.

“I had a lot of stressful moments, I had to deal with a lot of leaders, squads, and people. It’s stressful but it was fun.”

He was promoted to Director in late 2016, over the divisions of FI, EO, and DM.

He finally, after a long career, stepped down in April of 2017.

MFLSWAGG came back May of 2018, his plans are to become a director once a again.

Advice for upcoming leaders? “Don’t try to hard and you have to know your stuff. Be yourself and, most of all, have fun.”
