Around The Corner

It’s been a summer full of Fortnite, PUBG, and Rainbow Six Siege. Which has been fun! Now will Fall coming up, Xbox is giving us some new things to look forward to.

Old school gamers – get ready to smile. Treyarch and and EA Sports have been hard at work.

First Person Shooters

COD: Black Ops 4

One of the biggest video game franchises in history. Black Ops 4 drops on October 12th! The beta came out on August 3rd and this game is already being compared to Rainbow Six Siege. Whether this is good or bad, we don’t really know yet. It does look like COD is going for a more realistic bent though; utilizing gadgets and abilities to make gameplay more in-depth and realistic.

Battlefield 5

Here’s another successful franchise that’s giving a new release. Battlefield 5 comes out on October 19th! A more true-to-life option than COD, we’re excited to see how B5 will differ from its predecessors. Hopefully knocking down buildings with RPG’s and watching historically accurate tanks decimate structures will be elements carried over in this installment. Based off first appearances and trailers, Battlefield 5 is shaping up to be a solid challenger for BO4. We’ll definitely get our pick of FPS games this October.

Sports Games

Whether you’re into Basketball, Football or Futbol – there will be a sports game for you this fall. So far we have NOT been disappointed with trailers, cover athletes and special editions leaks.

EA Sports
  • August 10th – Madden NFL 19 (Antonia Brown cover), Hall Of Fame Edition (Terrell Owens cover)
  • September 6th – NBA Live 19 (Joel Embiid cover)
  • September 13th – NHL 19 (P.K. Subban cover)
  • September 28th – FIFA 19 (Christiano Ronaldo cover)
2K Sports
  • September 7th – NBA 2K 20th Anniversary Edition (Lebron James cover)
  • September 11th – NBA 2K19 – (Giannis Antetokounmpo cover)
  • October 8th – WWE 2K19 (AJ Styles cover) – Special announcement: The LEGENDARY Rey Mysterio will be included in the Digital Deluxe Edition

Just Throwing It Out There

I’m automatically buying both NBA 2K and WWE 2K. I’m not really a fan of Madden or NBA Live, but I do play them. I believe that 2K as a whole is taking over the gaming community. Joined by Treyarch/COD and Rockstar/GTA & Red Dead Redemption. All three are big-time franchises, always creating superior games. This Fall is shaping up to be a fun one.
