7’s Spotlight: KSI xKing 77

Who Is King?

KSI xKing 77 is many things to the Community. He is currently the Founder of Divine Warriors, a Join/Rejoin Moderator, a forums Moderator and a Performance Officer. King is a very laid back funny guy who, from the outside looking in, is hard to read. When you get to know him like I had the pleasure to, you get a sense of who he really is behind his humor and style.

King has been a member of the community for three years but has been around for about five years total. Throughout his time in KSI, he’s touched many divisions. He started out in Dark Legions in 2013, went to Eternal Souls in 2014, to Legendary Warriors in 2015 and ended in Divine Reign in 2016. He returned to KSI and joined Crimson Dawn in 2017 before going back to Legendary Warriors shortly after. He eventually found his current home in Divine Warriors when LW and DR merged.

The Interview

I sat down with King and asked him a few questions…

• What is your favorite part about being a Founder?

“Leading and mentoring members and other leaders underneath me while making sure to keep the division running smoothly and well.”

• What is your favorite part about being a Join Mod?

“Meeting the new people who come through – such as people I have not met before. Regardless of outcome, it’s nice to meet them and learn their past experiences and who they are as people.”

• What is your favorite part about being a Forums Mod?

“Keeping the forums nice, clean and organized. Keeping it safe and the drama off of it while keeping it nice and family-friendly.”

• What is your favorite part of being a Performance Officer?

“I like to get involved with the other divisions, get a feel for how they do things and how their leadership is. Meeting their members and building bonds with the members as a PO is pretty cool.”

• Out of your positions, which one would you say you faced the hardest challenge with and what was it?

“Definitely trying to get CD caught up and involved with PO. My first run through I was met with resistance and told PO was not needed. It took awhile to make the impact in that division before they finally let us host workshops and get involved with the welcoming committee roll out. It took about 2-3 months to fully get the division to accept our help.”

• What is your biggest obstacle you’ve had to overcome in your KSI career?

“The revival of Divine Reign. Coming into DR with only roughly one hundred and sixty members of fluff with no generals or officers and bringing it back up as Founder along side another Co-Founder and eventually splitting.”

• What are you future goals in KSI and where do you see yourself in this community in a year?

“My future goals are to eventually become a Director and Senior Director. I feel I would of been there if I had not stepped out of Clan Ops.”

• What kind of person would you say you are?

“I would like to say I’m a pretty caring, understanding dude. I care for my members and want to make sure that the members are having a very fun, satisfying time in the community.”

• If you could change one thing in KSI today, what would it be?

“I’d like to see the overall community activity increase. I’d love to see us all get together more and communicating on the same page and rising together. I’d like us all to be on the same path.”

• Who in KSI would you want to switch places with for a day and why?

“Impyyy Because I have some ideas for the community I could enforce and change without having to go up a huge chain. I could make more of an impact and benefit the community so yeah, I’d like to switch places with him.”

• Do you have any nicknames in the community?

“People call me King. When I was fatality some people called me FayFay and some people call me ninja from way back in the day. Majesty even calls me Daddy sometimes. Havoc calls me Mr Kingsley.”

*Huge sigh* “I would want to be a car from rocket league. I mean, that ************ gets a lot of credit. All he does is hit a ball around and a lot of people cheer for him. So I wanna be that guy.”
