With Halo 5: Guardians only 4 months away, many things are being revealed about the upcoming futuristic first person shooter.
One of the biggest reveals was that all Halo 5 players will be able to download all 15 DLC maps for free when they come out. When interviewed by Game Informer magazine last month, 343 Studio Head Josh Holmes said by making the DLC maps free it will unite the Halo community.
Holmes went on to say that when a game makes players pay for DLC, it divides the player community into the haves and haves not.
343 wants to do the opposite to create a great feeling multiplayer ecosystem.
So far Halo 5 is gearing up to be a huge improvement over Halo: Master Chief Collection with many promises of bringing back that old competitive Halo feeling to multiplayer and having all the DLC maps for free.
All the free DLC maps will be released by June 2016, according to Holmes. Halo 5: Guardians come Oct. 27, 2015.
