Labor Day Message from KSI DoCNeSS 7

KSi Docness 7 has a special message to KSI on Labor Day.

The following article was submitted by KSI DoCNeSS 7, one of our directors. As always, any member in KSI is encouraged to contribute articles after consulting with the News Team Department Head or Co-Head. The News Team thanks DoCNeSS for this contribution.

Good Morning KSI!

Labor Day in the United States is a holiday celebrated on the first Monday in September. It’s a celebration of the American labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made tot he strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

It was first proposed as a holiday in 1882 by the secretary of the Central labor Union of New York and later became a federal holiday in 1894.

Labor Day was originally celebrated in the form of a street parade to exhibit to the public “the strength and esprit de corps of the trade and labor organizations”, followed by a festival for the workers and their families.

The holiday often marked the return to school as well. Today, Labor Day weekend offers a little bit of everything from end of summer BBQs, shopping etc. Labor Day weekend sales are second only to the Holiday seasons’s Black Friday, and Football (Packers vs Seahawks @ 8:30pm).

For those of us in the logistics/acquisitions/resource/finance communities, it’s the last holiday weekend of our year! It’s truly an exciting tie, and here we have MUCH to be proud of! As you enjoy various activities during the long holiday weekend with family, friends, red bulls and games keep in mind what the holiday is for.

With so much that we all continually do for each other, our squads, divisions, departments, web ops/clan ops, all of KSI, it’s only appropriate someone if not everyone thank you.

I personally want to thank each and every one of you, including those abroad with those sexy accents, for who you are and all you voluntarily do for our great global gaming community. It’s an honor and a privilege to serve with you!

Very respectfully,
