Meet The News Team
Since KSI can’t technically have its own “official” Dream Team, I figured I’d at least give you some details about the members that’d definitely be on it.
Running a Department is tough. It’s the furthest thing from a “walk-in-the-park” that there could possibly be. It’s more like being-forced-to-streak-naked-through-a-dark-forest-with-Scotland-consistently-harassing-you-to-be-better-at-everything-you-do. (I know I just made that sound SUPER appealing, but hang tight. Some of us frankly need that harassing.)
I could quote some catchy phrase about “every team only being as strong as its weakest link”, or how “every person is unique and special and brings something worthwhile to the table”…but I won’t. It honestly doesn’t work out that way. Some people shine. They work hard, they’re dependable and they do great things. Other people fizzle out, let you down and give you a headache.
When I think about KSI’s News Writers, I think about strong individuals. Members who don’t fizzle out or let you down. Members who tackle and innovate and grind every month. That’s why I want you to read this article. These fantastic boys and girls are the members who make up KSI’s News Team. And they’re totally rock-awesome.
Being a KSI News Writer is a lot more than a title. It’s more than showing up to a meeting once a month or completing an assignment on time. It’s more than watching a Spirit Week stream and explaining what happened. Being a KSI News Writer is daring. It means you’re “comfortable stepping out of your comfort zone” on the daily. It means you’re willing to put your OWN thoughts and opinions on paper for the whole community to see. Being creative and vulnerable and brave all at the same time.
Being a KSI News Writer means you’re going to be judged. And it means you’re going to be critiqued. But it also means you’re going to be heard.
